It seemed like ages ago, it happened. In the shining city of New York, it was so quick and painless hardly a person knew what happened. But the cats saw it coming.
StarClan had told them, after many years of fighting and no sign of letting up, they were going to destroy them all. And StarClan does not lie. A few who were innocent knew enough to take refuge, even though they knew they would die anyways. But the fighting continued, the leaders blinded by arrogance and warriors following whatever their higher ups commanded. Those who hid...
They were kept alive, by some miracle. Just kits, with luck enough for a parent or sibling for the time being. So they grew, and were taught what remained of the Clans by whoever was left to teach. Among the rubble and filth, a new life began to build.
But nothing is ever happy for too long. Some prophecy or another predicts imminent doom, but not this time. It seems the felines prowling New York weren't the only ones spared. As the kits grew into apprentices, and apprentices into warriors, new life began to throb among the debris. More creatures once considered prey spawned, and began to populate. The surivors thought themselves lucky - creating new Clans, as it was all they knew, and prey beginning to come alive.
But with the prey came predators. The leaders had heard no sign of StarClan - the medicine cats, although found a new Moonstone, had no dreams and no prophecies to at least show them that their astral ancestors were still there to guide them. And without them, the leaders were stuck with just one life, and in the meanwhile, things like wolves and coyotes began to prowl. With the forest animals came those from zoos - tigers, leopards, panthers, and lions. It's all the Clans can do just to survive one day, let alone long enough to locate their only source of hope.
How they manage is soley up those who've disappeared.
Was StarClan so mad they left - forever?

Such things as bans, staff changes, and anything news-related. Auditions may also be held here. Members may feel free to comment, but may not post news of their own.
Anything that is of so much importance that the entire site shall know will be placed here. Beware of which announcement: each will have a tag in front indicating if it's a Clan announcement or General announcement. Staff have their own subboard for announcements here.
If you need a mate, friend, relative, or enemy, this is the place to go. In the title please state what sort of cat your looking for, and include what Clan, age range, and gender in the thread.
For anything plotty, put it here! Whether it be a small plot or otherwise, post your ideas here and get some more people involved. Staff should look over it before it's done, but they do not need to be accepted unless it's an inter-Clan plot.
If your cat and their mate plan on having kits, this is the area to post it. Make sure you include the mother and father, their Clan, and the perferred gender of your cats. Bear in mind there is no garuntee you'll get these genders, as the mods will pick genders that are going to help the Clan numberwise.
The SpringClan camp resides in an old two-story hospital that had once been for human children. On the left of the hospital, the entire second story has fallen into the first level. Surrounding the hospital is a huge dead garden. This garden, if it were to come together somehow, is the size of a football field. Entering the once automatic entrance, one would enter the emergency centre of the hospital where once the critically injured would go into for immediate attention. The SpringClan cats decided not to make this their camp as it was much too close to the entrance and easy to find. Turning right, one could see a huge pile of rubble, dirt, cement and garbage in front of a doorway that would have lead to the area of the hospital where the patients that didn't need immediate attention would wait for their turn. Now, there was no visible way to get inside and so most cats would give up at this point if they wanted to sneak into the SpringClan camp. However, SpringClan cats would know that on the very end of each side of the pile of rubble are two big cardboard boxes. These closed boxes can be easily opened with a hard push and a SpringClan cat can easily walk through the box and enter the SpringClan camp. A large waiting room was made to be the center of the camp and the receptionist's long desk is where the leader would stand to hold meetings and ceremonies. It is called the High Table. Behind the desk is a doorway leading to a small room where three bookshelves once stood containing files of each patient in the hospital. The bookshelves were no more as the pieces were used to make the entrance to the camp. However, this cozy room is the leader's den now. A hallway beside the High Table leads to five rooms that once held supplies and equipment. Each room has blankets thrown all around the floor for a sort of bedding and a small window for light. None of the rooms have a door. At the end of the small hallway is a pile of rubble that had fallen in from the second story, concealing the rest of the hospital. The first room closest to the center of camp is the warriors den with blankets all around to keep cozy. The room next to the warrior's den is the apprentice's. The one beside the apprentice's is the elder's. Beside the elder's is the room for the queens and kits. Finally the last room is for the medicine cat. In the waiting room, there are two chairs side by side at the edge of the room. Under these chairs is where the fresh-kill pile is. There are two huge windows in the waiting room with no more glass that the cats use to get out of the camp. On the outside, the windows are concealed by two huge bushes that made it through the disaster. The SpringClan cats are very secretive about their camp and whenever another clan cat comes to the clan with news, the leader, medicine cat and deputy meet the cat in the emergency centre of the hospital instead of letting the cat inside to see the camp. The rubble conceals the camp very well as it is impossible to scent out or hear the cats on the other side of the rubble.
An abandoned ship is where the Summerclan cats built there home. Rusty and gross, the ship was possibly left to rot, allowing it be washed to shore. During the disaster, part of the side was torn away, allowing a safe entrance for the cats. Inside, it is cozy and warm, unlike the looks on the outside. They make their dens on the 2nd floor, away from the vulnerability at the top and bottom. Cargo holds are used as dens, often big enough for three to five cats to fit inside. A large box-type structure is used for the leader to make announcements. A chipped and broken steering wheel lies next to it, used as a shortcut to the top. The leader makes his/her den in the cargo hold not too far away from it, perfect for quick announcements. A life-tube sits to the left of the dens, allowing a safe place for fresh-kill to be developed. The chipped and broken glass lets a soft breeze in, but keeps bad weather out. It also makes a perfect watching area, as one can see out the glass and around the ship.
In the impact of whatever it was that obliterated everything, shadows of buildings now stand. What once was a great skyscraper, 50 stories tall, is leveled to 5. A few are higher, ten stories at max. In one building, 4 stories high, lies the AutumnClanners. Chosen by Ariastar, she figured it safe from the oncoming predators that roamed the ground. They live on the fourth floor, roughly half shaded by a roof and walls, the other open everywhere but the floor. The dens are located to the far back, made under tables and chairs. As an area where the leader makes announcements, Ariastar chose a heap of rubble, which was taller than the tables. It isn't often that it gets drafty, but when it does, all the medical blankets from the building are strewn about and used as moss and cover to sheild the cats.
Living in a filthy, deserted subway station, the WinterClan cats have all it takes to survive. All the rubbish left behind by the disappeared twolegs attracted lairs of prey, therefore securing these cats' food source. Predators rarely visit these stations, assuring the cats of their safety at home (for the most part). In the summer, the shady atmosphere of the stations help cool down the heat. In the winter, the secluded underground tunnels block out the cold winds. The wriggling tunnels make up the dens, and are individually separated by the weed that has sprouted from the cracks in the ground. An old subway train remains on the tracks, which served as the leaders place to call for announcements. The train's windows and doors are shattered, with a large part of the ceiling crushing it's center. The stairs mark their camp entrance, with an awning of a fallen tree disguising it. Indeed they have the advantages, but it would take much more for them to continue to survive.
The SpringClan cats are considered the very lucky ones, at least to themselves. They have a rather big enough territory to satisfy their needs. The emergency centre of the hospital has some small prey running around, the ideal spot for warriors to train their apprentices in hunting as well as fighting as there is tons of room for that. Outside, the hospital's gigantic garden is still a bit intact after the disaster and has a crazy amount of prey running around, not being able to scent the cats inside from all the rubbles around them. The prey are basically in the SpringClan camp's backyard and frontyard. On the right side of the garden, if you were looking at the hospital from the front, is a long, tall hedge of dead flowers. SpringClan territory includes a number of cracked streets, where tiny creatures make their homes in the new tall grasses that sprung up from the cracks. At the other end of the garden, is another street, then a small block where once stood three houses. Prey run around here as well, mostly birds as there are tons of trees. Beside this expanse of grass is a large, dugout river with barely any water left in it.
The ship provides much of the territory for Summerclan. They only use the second floor for camp, allowing the first and third floors to have bountiful amounts of prey. Though these spots are wonderful, diseases spread easily and rats call this their home. Predators also are known to prowl around the first floor, giving a hard hunt. When a cat moves beyond the ship, they reach the bay. Soft sand is felt underfoot and the bay lies just to the right. Fish may be caught here, and swimming to the deck can be a wonderful relaxation for the cats. Summerclan marks it boundary with Autumnclan at the end of the boardwalk, giving an awesome prey source. The boardwalk is crawling with mice and voles, sometimes birds. It’s almost like a mini forest, everything except the undergrowth, trees, and wild.
The other three stories of the building are hazardous, crawling with bugs and repellants and poisons thrown around by whatever destroyed humanity. As dangerous as it is, since the cats only pass through to get downstairs and outside, prey is wild around here. Outside the building, they have until a subway station too annhilated for WinterClan, and up till the boardwalk, or what's left of it, of SummerClan. In town, the streets are cracked and jettison up in random areas, providing nice areas to shade and and offer camoflauge in order to hunt prey. All through town it's like this, up until the board walk. AutumnClanners only have a fraction of the immense structure, the other half belonging to SummerClan. Since SummerClan claims the part where the walk ends and water begins, fishing isn't an option.
The WinterClan territory is another story from their perfectly suited camp. Situated aboveground, nothing was left except for ruins of the city, and anything else that had fallen after the disaster had striken. This is not rather appealing to both the prey and predators, although they still find home here between the slits of the ruins. All the prey searching for food down in the stations has their home outside. As time went on, more and more wild plants grew from revealed soil in the concrete, which is another decent food source for the prey. They began scurrying here, hoping to find this a more comfy home than the places they have lived in. The WinterClan territory stretches from the edge of the preceding station till a dried up river in a park, with the camp as it's center.
The SpringClan borders are very well defined and rather close to their camp. Beyond the garden and to the right is a tall, hedge of dead flowers running all along the hospital's property. This hedge is the border between SummerClan and SpringClan, though the SpringClanners were hoping for something firmer and less flimsy and breakable. The hedge stops when the garden stops and a tall fallen building finishes off this border. Way out on the other side of the territory, WinterClan's border with SpringClan can be found. This border is a hand-dug river so wide that there is no way a cat could jump across. However, a thin fallen tree creates a sort of bridge, however it is never used by any of the two clans unless they wanted to raid one another or for urgent news.
Summerclan’s borders are just as important as their camp and territory. As the cats reach the boardwalk, near the end is the border with Autumnclan. A large part of it is the border, actually, as the Summerclan cats were generous enough to allow it to be the Autumnclan cat’s territory. From this border and beyond is strictly Autumnclan territory, and no cats are supposed to cross. But the cats may have a fight or two over the border because predators seem to be attracted by the water and cool feeling of the sand. Going the opposite direction (beyond the Summerclan camp) is the border with Springclan. The border is a long row of dead flowers, reaching all the way to a street. Across it is a few feet of dead grass, then the hospital. The flowers used to be beautiful and full of colors, but after the disaster, they decayed and died, turning gray in color. Summerclan and Springclan cats often avoid this boundary, as the two clans usually have nothing to do with each other. But an occasional meeting or talk may be dealt with from across the border.
Once outside the decrepit building which the AutumnClanners call home, and farther past the city streets lie their borders. On one side is WinterClan, where a giant rock had fallen around a subway station too destroyed to be worth anything. The stone fell from the sky from a building nearby, and was seated neatly in a perfect area to become the border. Neither Clan has much of a problem with each other, although sometimes they do get in a spat or two if a curious apprentice wanders over. On the other side, farther down town past the housing and into the beach-like area is the boardwalk, which seperates them from SummerClan. This border is bigger than the WinterClan one, as the boardwalk is long and SummerClan was generous enough to give it up. They still fight over it from time to time, because the predators seem to like the water an awful lot. The dogs are most fond here, because the sand feels good on their rough pads and the water refreshing to their taste. From the bay, a river winds through town, along with broken water mains that gently spurt water and serve as water sources.
The WinterClan borders are unique, as they are remembered quite differently from all the rest. Their borders are palpable to the eye, instantly catching your attention. The WinterClan cats have maintained strict force on them, as they will not tolerate trespassing of any reason not acceptable by their leader. To the north lies the border with SpringClan, it's mark a shallow, hand-dug river that has been long since drying up. It is impossible to cross without the aid of a bridge stretched across it, as the slopes are slippery and steep. The cats make their scent markers on the poles of the bridge. On the opposite sides of WinterClan territory is another subway station, but more worn and broken down than the one WinterClan claimed as their camp. This is their border with AutumnClan. The scent markers are set upon the large stone that had fallen from a building above them.
Here, a large expanse of small, deserted human homes remain. Most contain a few rats, some even house an occasional snake. All are infested with mice though, quite an excellent source of nourishment. All of the old human furniture remains, providing for a great and comfortable shelter. Inside of the houses are very safe, but the outside is another story. Wolves and dogs both prowl the streets, searching for any opportunity to catch prey. Be careful!
The Park consists of a medium-sized lot. Old human toys are still here, though most are half-way broken down and generally not very safe, even for something as light as a cat. A small series of toddler play-houses make for great shelter here. The grass is very tall and jungle-like in most places, providing a great hunting place for smaller prey such as mice and even a few rabbits. But, with every plus must come a minus. This is a semi-favorite place for the dogs that roam the city, so watch out!
A large building provides shelter for quite a few that choose to stay on their own. The large, glass double-doors are broken, making for an easy entrance. Four different, very large rooms with many rows of cushioned seats provide comfortable bedding for the cats. Some choose not to stay here though; it's considered too dark for mosts' likings, except for the lobby which has a sky-light and the clear doors. This is one of the safest places to stay outside of the Clans; hardly any dogs or wolves enter the Theater.
The Amethyst Stone lies in a special place near the heart of the city. Inside a building which used to be a Jewlery Store, a large stone stands in the center. This is what some cats would call their Moonstone, but the cats around here call it the Amethyst Stone. It shines brightly through the entire building. Cats come here and attempt to share tongues with their ancestors, though not much happens. It shines brightly even on a dark day, and it lights up the entire building. Cats consider this piece of art sacred, and all clans share the territory where it lays. And it is a perfect fit in the middle where all the Clans can reach it.
Still standing in the mass of debris and obliteration which came to the world, and New York, is City Hall. Inside it's spacious and large, the chairs still standing in areas. At the very front of the huge area, past the receptionist desk and through a hole big enough for a car to fit through, is the stage. The podium lays on its side, some of the wood cracked and chipped off to create a roughly even surface. The leaders stand on the stage, and whenever it's a leader's turn to address the assembled cats, they stand on the podium.
